As a firm believer in the policy of having a practical and classic wardrobe
with well-chosen trendy accessories, this year, I'd advise looking at two key
trends for Spring/Summer 2003 and carefully choosing the ones to suit you. The
key trends are Utility and Colour Splash:
Utility:
This look combines practical and hard-wearing army pants or skirt and a pretty
shirt.
Safari or Army pants combined with an ethnic variation shirt or t-shirt are
ideal for a casual weekend get together; this is the cutting edge: http://www.vogueparis.com/fr/article.asp?ida=8399
And this is the glamorous version:

Colour Splash
A strong splash of colour combined with black garments is attention-getting
and different.
This is the cutting edge:

This is the glamour advantage:

What many women don't realize is that make-up is as much of an essential accessory
as the latest belt, shoes and handbag.
It takes some time to learn how to apply make up to suit your skin and personality,
but once you do the research and figure it out, you can make your daily make
up stand out as part of your image. When you realize that your face and the
way it's made up is one of the first things people notice, it's clear that close
attention is needed!
The first and most important thing to do is to establish your skin type. This
will then establish the kind of foundation you need to invest in. In general,
beauty counselors advise paying more for a foundation as it is the closest thing
to your skin and helps to create a smooth surface for the rest of the make up.
If your skin is dry, invest in a moisturizing foundation. If it's combination
(oily in parts, dry in others), invest in a foundation specially made for combination
skin. If it's oily, invest as much as you can afford in a good, mattifying foundation.
While we are on the subject of skin, consider your beauty regime carefully.
The point of foundation is to highlight good skin, not hide skin that is improperly
cared for. A facial once a month, and a daily routine of cleansing, toning and
moisturizing that is specific for your skin type will take care of your face
beautifully. Most models and actresses recommend never ever missing your beauty
routine. It gives a comforting start and end to each day and you will always
be glowing.
